Fulvic Acid for Alberta Farms

Looking for liquid fulvic acid in Alberta? Peace Soil Works supplies fulvic acid products for agricultural fertilizer and foliar programs across the Peace Country, Northern Alberta and Northeast BC.

Fulvic acid is a water-soluble fraction of humic substances. It can interact with nutrients and is often used alongside crop nutrition programs where nutrient mobility and efficient application matter.

Get More Value From Your Herbicide Pass

You’re already making a trip across the field with the sprayer. Why not make that pass work harder? Adding fulvic acid is one way to bring foliar nutrition support into a spray program you’re already running.

Black Earth’s HumiZen Keal is designed to support foliar nutrient absorption and movement in the plant. At just 0.25–0.5 L/acre, it’s an easy product to consider at herbicide timing, provided the tank mix is permitted and compatible.

We supply HumiZen Keal at Peace Soil Works. Contact us for pricing, availability and help deciding whether it fits your next spray application.

Always follow herbicide label directions and confirm tank-mix compatibility before use. HumiZen Keal does not replace required herbicide adjuvants.

HumiZen Keal from Black Earth is a concentrated liquid fulvic acid product suited to low-rate foliar programs. It is derived from humic substances and designed to complement crop nutrition and nutrient-mobility programs.

  • Fulvic acid: 3.45% (ISO 19822 testing method).
  • Recommended foliar rate: 0.25–0.5 L/acre for all crops, according to Black Earth’s product information.
  • Product pH: 9–11.
  • Mixing: Shake or agitate before use and conduct a small-scale jar test before combining with fertilizers or crop protection products.
  • Storage: Keep out of direct sunlight and protect from freezing and excessive heat. Manufacturer storage range: 10–45°C.

Using Fulvic Acid in Foliar and Fertility Programs

Fulvic acid can fit into a range of agricultural applications, depending on the product formulation and label:

  • Foliar nutrition: Often paired with foliar micronutrient programs to support nutrient delivery.
  • Fertilizer programs: Considered as an addition to compatible liquid fertilizer applications.
  • Crop establishment: An option to evaluate alongside early-season nutrient and root-zone management.

Actual crop response depends on the formulation, application rate, crop conditions and the nutrients being applied. Fulvic acid is a complement to sound fertility management, not a replacement for fertilizer.

Fulvic Acid vs. Humic Acid

Both come from humic substances, but they have different properties. Fulvic acid remains soluble over a broad pH range and is commonly used in liquid and foliar programs. Humic acid products are also used in soil-directed programs, with performance and compatibility depending on the formulation.

Application Rates, Mixing & Product Selection

Not all fulvic products have the same concentration or recommended rate. Before mixing with fertilizer, herbicides or other agricultural inputs, check the specific product label and complete a small jar test.

We can help you compare fulvic products by concentration, intended use, handling requirements and cost per acre so you can choose a practical fit for your operation.
